It is reported by TASS with reference to the materials of the department, which were presented during the speech of the head of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Valentina Kazakova during the round table in the State Duma.

It is noted that for migrants it is proposed to "introduce a discount coefficient to the personal income tax paid in the form of a fixed advance payment, depending on the level of Russian language proficiency, knowledge of the history of Russia and the basics of legislation."

The discount can be from 10 to 50% depending on the level of knowledge.

According to Kazakova, this measure can be used to stimulate the study of the Russian language.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to submit proposals for the development of migration policy by July 1.
