It is SVT's communications department that decides how SVT should profile itself between the programs. For example, the design of the so-called joints, which are short clips that create a certain feeling of woohoo at home on the TV sofa. During this winter, three pictures from Östersund and two pictures from Mattmar and Ottsjö have been shown countless times in prime time across the country.

"It was purely logistical reasons that led to the election ending up in Östersund and Jämtland. We decided that we wanted to include both the city and the mountains and it is very easily accessible from Östersund, says Jean-François Bonis, group manager at SVT Trailerproduktion in Stockholm.

Replaced soon

Two photographers were commissioned last winter to go to Östersund and find places and views for the "winter collection" of program joints. When spring and summer come, they are replaced by other places in the country.
