"A real sacrifice for students"

"It becomes a real sacrifice for teachers to strike in view of the salary context of school teachers. We also notice that colleagues engage in gatherings after class," Guislaine David said in a written message sent to AFP. The strongest mobilization in the National Education as part of the protest against the pension reform dates from the first day of mobilization, organized on January 19.

The Ministry of National Education had recorded 42.35% of strikers in primary and 34.66% in secondary (middle and high schools). The unions had announced strike rates of 65% in the second degree and 70% in the primary.
