Police and ambulance were alerted shortly before 19 p.m. to a residence in Billingsfors. Once at the scene, it was discovered that the injured person had been driven to hospital by a private individual.
Shortly afterwards, it emerged that two people had suffered knife injuries. Both are reported to be between the ages of 15 and 20, police said on their website. One of the injured persons has been transported by helicopter to Norra Älvsborg County Hospital.
When questioning witnesses, information comes another injured person. Later in the evening, the third person is found.
"The injured will be heard, but when is unclear, especially when it comes to the person who is most injured and taken to NÄL," said police spokesman Stefan Gustafsson.
According to NÄL, the situation is stable but serious for the person being cared for at the hospital.
Suspected of attempted murder
The police have now opened a preliminary investigation under the heading of attempted murder.
Two suspects have been arrested in Billingsfors and have been identified as perpetrators. They are now suspected of attempted murder.
Is there a connection between the injured and the suspects?
"We have to assume that they know each other in some way, but I don't know anything about the subject image right now," says Stefan Gustafsson.
What's next?
"The suspects will be heard as soon as possible so that the prosecutor can decide whether they should be arrested.
The crime scene is now cordoned off and technicians are ordered.
