The Investigative Committee announced on March 20 that it had opened a case against Sergienko, suspected of taking a bribe.
According to the investigation, from December 2017 to December 2021, he acted in the interests of several commercial organizations and helped in issuing permits for the construction of a number of real estate objects.
Also in early March, the Sverdlovsk District Court of Belgorod arrested the former mayor of the city Anton Ivanov for two months on charges of receiving a bribe.
