Agricultural non-point source pollution interception, restoration of degraded wetlands... A number of ecological protection and restoration projects have been accelerated

Recently, a number of ecological protection and restoration projects across the country have been accelerated, adding color and greenery to a beautiful China.

This year, pollution prevention and control continued to advance in depth. Relevant state departments have issued a budget of more than 2023 billion yuan for environmental pollution control funds in 500. On the west bank of Lake Taihu in Jiangsu Province, the agricultural non-point source pollution interception project around Taihu Lake has recently started, which will effectively reduce the entry of nitrogen and phosphorus substances that cause eutrophication of the lake into Taihu Lake. Jiangsu Province plans to start 166 Taihu Lake protection and treatment projects this year, with a total investment of 112.<> billion yuan.

In Poyang Lake, the staff of Jiangxi Duchang Migratory Bird Nature Reserve took advantage of the low spring water level to plant artificially bred bitter grass to restore the number of submerged plants in the lake area, restore degraded wetlands, and provide food for migratory birds.

In the Fujian area of Wuyishan National Park, the construction of the protection and development belt around Wuyishan National Park with a total investment of 398.<> billion yuan has been accelerated. With a total area of more than <>,<> square kilometers, this protected belt involves "ten major support projects" such as forest ecosystem protection and restoration, biodiversity conservation, and water ecological environment governance in the upper reaches of the Minjiang River.

It is understood that this year, the capacity building of national ecological protection has been steadily advanced. After nearly five years of construction, the national ecological protection redline supervision platform is now officially in operation. High-precision monitoring of three-dimensional remote sensing of the sky and ground is like a pair of eyes, guarding the grass and trees within the red line.

Gao Jixi, director of the Satellite Environmental Application Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment: The ecological protection red line is called the bottom line and lifeline of national ecological security after the cultivated land red line. Through the ecological protection redline supervision platform, we find abnormal changes in the surface and carry out early warning, so as to achieve the purpose of not reducing the area, nature and function of the ecological redline proposed by the state.
