Carliz De La Cruz Hernandez, who was in a relationship with the rap star from 2011 to 2016, filed a lawsuit in early March in a court in San Juan, Puerto Rico's capital, NotiCel reported Monday.

In 2015, when Bad Bunny was not yet the prince of reggaeton he is today, the young woman says she recorded herself on her phone saying the phrase "Bad Bunny Baby", according to the court document.

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Martínez Ocasio, later used this recording, without permission, at the beginning of the song, "Pa Ti", and a few years later on the track "Dos Mil 16" from his Grammy Award-winning album "Un Verano Sin Ti".

For this latest opus, the artist's team would have sent contracts asking for the consent of Ms. De La Cruz Hernandez, a day before the publication of the album in May 2022, but would not have waited to receive a response before adding the voice of the young woman on the title, according to the same source.

Since the release of the song, "thousands of people have made comments on social media" of Carliz De La Cruz Hernandez, which has caused him and continues to cause him "worry, anguish, feeling intimidated, overwhelmed and anxious," according to the complaint.
