"I've had a personal relationship with the band for many years and when the brothers were here, I took up the idea of one last gig. After a couple of days, Plura calls up and says, "Let's go!" I was so happy and got shivers all over my body," says a lyrical Jörgen Lindström.
An ending where it all began
There is no doubt that Eldkvarn is in the hearts of many Norrköping residents. Jörgen himself says that he went to Pihlska school, a bit from the band's regular place. He ran there and bought liver pate sandwiches at the breaks. Today, he himself is the co-owner of the café and neighborhood restaurant in question and he would like to highlight what "The Kings from Broadway" has meant to Norrköping.
"It's a band that really put Norrköping on the music map – for several decades. That's why it's extra fun that Eldkvarn, just a softball team from Bråddgatan and Broadway Café, will do this gig, says Jörgen Lindström.
