In Washington, the capital of the United States, the annual cherry blossom festival began to coincide with the blooming of cherry blossoms gifted by Japan more than 100 years ago.

More than 1912,3000 cherry trees are planted in Washington, D.C., including the Yoshino cherry trees that were gifted to the mayor of Tokyo at the time in 20, and the National Cherry Blossom Festival is held every year to coincide with the flowering season.

This year began in earnest on the <>th of this month, and many visitors enjoyed cherry blossom viewing by taking pictures of the cherry blossoms shining against the blue sky.

According to the National Park Service, which manages the cherry blossoms, the peak of the cherry blossoms is expected to be about 1 week to 10 days earlier this winter because the temperature did not drop compared to previous years.

A local man said, "I come to see it every year and it is very beautiful, and I am happy and proud that the cherry blossoms are a gift and a sign of friendship."

The National Cherry Blossom Festival will be held until April 4 and is expected to attract more than 16.150 million visitors, including events to introduce Japan culture and food.
