It is reported that in 2014, 2016 and 2018, respectively in Fuzhou, Matsu and Malaysia successfully held three Fuzhou language song promotion newcomer singing and writing competitions, each session has Matsu compatriots participate in the competition. Tang Youlin told reporters that teacher Lai Dongfang has been engaged in the creation and promotion of Fuzhou songs for a long time, which is very valuable.

"I'm also trying to fuse Hokkien and Fuzhou to create a song, hoping to collide with new sparks." Tang Youlin bluntly said that language is a very wonderful art, each dialect has its own rhyme, you have to write songs according to different rhymes, which is a very interesting process.
