Xi Jinping called the strengthening of friendship and peace the goal of his visit to Russia

He said this in an article for RIA Novosti and Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

"My upcoming visit to Russia is aimed at strengthening friendship, cooperation and peace," the Chinese president said in a statement.

Xi Jinping expressed readiness to outline new plans with Russian President Vladimir Putin to open up new prospects for Sino-Russian relations.

The politician also noted that his trips to Russia always give great results.

At the same time, Xi Jinping said that the current level of relations between Russia and China was not easy.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that relations between Moscow and Beijing surpass the military-political alliances of the Cold War.

In addition, Putin called relations between Russia and China the cornerstone of global and regional stability.
