Surrounded by forest and with few neighbors is the falu-red farm. This week, the police made a macabre find here. In a freezer lay a dead woman – a woman who is believed to have been gone for an extended period of time.

A neighbor, who wishes to remain anonymous, tells SVT's reporter that it is "very scary and terrible" that it happened in such a quiet place. He himself has never met the man, but he has seen him drive by.

Another neighbor has had some contact with the man.

"Poor woman," the neighbour says with tears in her eyes to SVT's reporter.

Not convicted of violent crime in Sweden

The suspected man is a Norwegian citizen, but appears to have been domiciled in Sweden for more than a decade. Here he is convicted of a series of crimes. Most of it is traffic offenses. Last winter, he was convicted of aggravated unlawful driving, after he was caught driving a car on several occasions without having a license. He is also convicted of, among other things, drunk driving.

The farm where he is registered is solitaryly located, in the sparsely populated areas of western Värmland.

Police have not said what relationship the suspected man had with the woman, but say they are "familiar from before."
