It was at 01.30 on Thursday that the police were alerted to a powerful explosion in Hässelby in western Stockholm. The detonation destroyed much of the façade of a townhouse and damaged three more homes. The residents of the damaged townhouses have had to leave their homes.
According to information provided to SVT, relatives of a famous rapper live at the address. The rapper has previous links to criminal networks and openly shown support for the criminal leader "Kurdish Fox".
An adult was taken to hospital after the explosion but the injuries were not assessed as life-threatening at an early stage. The incident is being investigated as attempted murder and public devastation.
Charges are due by the end of March.
Six arrested
Several people were arrested after the explosion, and on Thursday night six people were arrested by prosecutors. Police have declined to comment on whether the people are known to police in the past, or exactly what they are suspected of.
After hearings in Solna District Court on Sunday, one person was thus detained.
