In front of a comic strip stand where she has just offered a book to her son born in France, Kandy Guira, a singer of Burkinabe origin, wants to interest her son in African culture.

I bought Warriors for my son who loved it, she explains to Houda Ibrahim, from the Africa editorial team... It's a great comic. I often tend to say that African comics are a little caricatured, except that there is a beautiful finish, and it is especially well drawn. It's beautiful to see, and it's beautiful to read too.

Muntu Warriors tells the story of an African superhero. Muntu hates fiction as a superhero, but he will, in spite of himself, save a world that he himself has put in danger.

The idea of Muntu Warriors is not only representation, but also discovery, explains Junior Beckley, the author of the comic. Because in African culture, there are a lot of legends, tales, customs and stories to tell, and I would like -as a former video game designer-, to use all my knowledge and all my experience to highlight it and allow all generations of all ethnicities, to discover the codes and mores of African culture.

Muntu Warriors combines quality illustrations, and a deep story in a fantasy world inspired by the black culture of Africa, America, Europe and the Caribbean.

More than 200 authors and 60 publishers and booksellers are participating in this second edition of the African Book Fair, which is being held over three days in Paris from 17 to 19 March. And the public massively responded to this meeting.
