At 5 o'clock this morning, the police were called to an apartment building in Botkyrka after calls about an altercation in an apartment. A man in his upper 30s was found badly stabbed in the stairwell and was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
The victim's injury status is unclear, but the perpetrator has not needed hospital treatment, according to Stockholm police.
Suspect arrested
A suspected offender, who is also in his upper 30s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder.
"It's too early to say what kind of argument this was. We are currently trying to get a situational picture of what interests may have been in the trouble, says Rebecca Landberg, press spokesperson at the police in Stockholm.
Technicians will now investigate the cordoned-off crime scene, and police have launched an investigation into the crime of attempted murder.
