It was after the final whistle that there was an argument between several players in the two teams. The video shows players beating each other violently even though the referees are doing what they can to separate the players.

A total of 30 match penalties and 750 penalty minutes were handed out after the final whistle and now the ice hockey association will act against the two associations.

"We will follow up with the associations so they take their responsibility so this doesn't happen again," says Zakarias Granlund, regional director of the ice hockey north regional association.

The referee also looks set to be beaten and now video footage of the match is to be reviewed to determine whether any players should be suspended in future matches.

The associations must investigate the incident

Björklöven takes the incident very seriously and will investigate the incident.

"It shouldn't have to go this far in a youth match," says Henrik Bäckström, operations manager at Björklöven.

Lycksele SK will also continue with their team after the game.

"Of course we'll talk about this. We're going to work on it not happening again," said coach Daniel Renstrom, who attended the game last night.
