The National Police has arrested again the dancer Rafael Amargo accused of an alleged crime of drug trafficking. The arrest took place tonight in Alicante at the end of the function in a room San Isidro Alicante. The agents had been following the alleged illicit activity of the singer for several months in his house on Espiritu Santo Street in Madrid and in other tourist apartments in the capital where he moved when he realized that the police were following him. After his arrest, Amargo has been transferred to the police station in Alicante.
Amargo was already arrested on December 1, 2020 along with his partner and two other people in the framework of the Codax operation, whose name means crow in Latin and is nicknamed after an image of Amargo from his Instagram in which he appears with wings of this species of bird.
The new investigation has been carried out by the agetnes of the Narcotics group of the police station of the Centro district of Madrid at the request of the court of instruction number 27. The agents received a complaint from several neighbors who claimed that the artist continued to sell substances from his house on Espiritu Santo Street in the Malasaña neighborhood of Madrid.
The dancer will sit next June in the dock of the accused for the alleged commission of a crime against public health for the alleged sale in his own home of narcotic substances to third parties in a "persistent" way in exchange for money.
The oral hearing will be held on June 7, 8, 9 and 12 at the Provincial Court of Madrid, legal sources have reported. The artist faces a fiscal request of 9 years in prison
