According to Stockholm County's party district, there have been signals that text messages have been sent where people have been offered payment for the membership fee
The purpose would be to bring in new members before Saturday to vote back the previously deposed Ebba Östlin as group leader in Botkyrka.
Barbro Boström di Meo herself says that she supports Ebba Östlin, but that this has not been decisive for her application for membership and that she has absolutely not received money.

The chairman of Stockholm County's party district Åsa Westlund defends the party's decision by saying that it has not been possible to make an individual assessment of those who have applied for membership.
The mere suspicion that people are applying for membership on incorrect grounds has led the party to deny membership. However, she says those who have been nobbed are welcome to return with a new application.
"Of course, I hope that they share our values and therefore choose to apply for membership again. I also believe that if you share our values, you also want things to go right and you should be able to feel confident that it has done so in this case, that members who are not supposed to be members have become so, says Åsa Westlund.
