Archive administrator Monica Larsson first noticed it as an allergy.

"I'd been down here half a day working. Then I felt it start to sting my eyes and run in my nose. I'm already an allergy sufferer," she says.

Since the discovery of the moisture damage, which covers about 40 percent of the walls of the archive in the basement of the city hall, she wears a mask when she is down and working longer periods of time.

Moved to the regional archive

Neither Monica Larsson nor the documents in the archive, on the other hand, remain in the moisture for very long. The move to the regional archive will begin immediately and almost 1000 shelf meters will now be marked and reorganized.
