A ventilation chamber caught fire in the Yekaterinburg metro, about 400 people were evacuated

According to the regional department of the EMERCOM of Russia, information about smoke at the Uralmash station was received at 04:59 Moscow time.

“A fire was discovered in the ventilation chamber.

There was a short circuit of electric cables on the area of ​​one running meter.

The fire was localized and eliminated," the ministry said.

Rescuers checked the premises of the station and evacuated 385 people, including 58 children. 

As it became known earlier, employees of the Moscow metro carried out an evacuation from the station "Sportivnaya" due to smoke.

The incident was liquidated, the area was 1 sq.
