The two men who were sentenced today by the Supreme Court are sentenced to three years and three months and three years in prison, respectively, which is a shorter time than what they were sentenced to in the Court of Appeal last fall, when they were awarded at least five years each.

Before the Supreme Court had heard the case, there was no practice for the criminal classification of gross sabotage against blue light operations, which means that the District Court and the Court of Appeal have had no judgment to lean on when determining punishment for the convicted.

- We are very satisfied that the Supreme Court follows our line and lowers the sentence, says lawyer Kristofer Stahre to SVT news Örebro.

Several judgments have been appealed after the Easter coup, but this is the first case where the Supreme Court has granted leave to appeal.
