Sweden and Finland have had the ambition to join NATO together, but now there are many indications that that plan will fail.

According to Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) and Oscar Stenström, chief negotiator in the NATO process, the probability has increased that Turkey will approve Finland's application - but not Sweden's.

And Sweden is prepared for that scenario to become reality.

- It has probably not been this clear from the Swedish state leadership before that this is lame, says SVT's political reporter Andreas Öbrink.
