The man, who is aged 25, was taken to hospital by ambulance, but the extent of his injuries is unclear.
The police are investigating the incident as attempted murder.
- When we arrive at the scene, there are several people on site and one person is found injured by an object, said police spokesperson Patric Fors, at half past six.
Ran past witness
A witness tells SVT Nyheter Skåne that the injured man ran away screaming to get away from the perpetrators and at the same time held a hand to the lower part of his back.
The witness saw blood on the ground, but did not know what had happened and later received information from another witness at the scene that it was a knife attack.
Bystanders must have quickly reached the injured man and pressed against his bleeding wound, according to the witness.
Three young people arrested
The police held several interviews with witnesses at the scene and later three men aged 18 were arrested by the police and are suspected of attempted murder.
The police describe the incident as isolated, even though it happened in a public environment.
