Hairdressing schools for a cut at an unbeatable price

Hair maintenance is usually the most expensive part of a beauty budget.

On average, women spend 46 euros at the hairdresser, and 24 euros for men according to the National Union of Hairdressing Companies.

To lower these prices, Benjamin Lévêque suggests going to hairdressing schools, which are very accessible because they are everywhere in France.

"For four euros, you have a haircut with shampoo", details the journalist on Europe 1.

For a more advanced need, "with a scan of the wicks, you get by for 20-30 euros no more, so we save a lot of money", he notes, pointing out however that it was not necessary to s expect "a perfect result".

"These are students who are learning, but there is always a professional hairdresser who is there to supervise them, and who makes sure that we do not come out with a mullet cut", smiles the columnist.

To find a school, just enter 'hairdressing school' followed by the name of a city in a search engine.

Choose an off-peak time for an appointment with the beautician

This trick also works for a desire to go to the beautician.

"For five euros, you have a massage or a facial," says Benjamin Lévêque.

The latter offers another advice for beauty salons, that of the time of the appointment.

"You have to be well informed because some brands offer advantageous rates for off-peak hours. You can have -10%, -15% if you come at 3 p.m. on Tuesday for example."

Body care for the most modest

In addition, the columnist discusses a tip for populations in great precariousness, which allows you to take care of yourself without spending a penny.

L'Oréal has in fact joined forces with the Emmaüs Solidarité association to open two free beauty salons in Paris.

These people "arrive in the living room, and for 30 minutes to an hour, a socio-esthetician will pamper them with a massage, a haircut. It makes them smile, it restores their confidence, and people leave with five L products. 'Oréal of their choice'.

The economical and ecological solution for waste prevention

There are also economical and ecological tips, as the columnist of

Bienfait pour vous

tells it .

Like the "Too good to go" smartphone application, which allows you to buy unsold food in various shops, a similar application, called Keabot and launched by three young people from Toulouse in 2022, applies to pharmacies.

Once the application has been downloaded, "you will be able to buy hygiene and cosmetic products, sometimes from big brands, cheap and generally at half price", informs Benjamin Lévêque.

Why are these products more financially attractive on arrival?

"Either because the expiry date is approaching and therefore it is more difficult to sell them, or because the pharmacist has placed a bad order and instead of throwing them away, he may decide to sell them at half price", replies the beauty specialist.

After placing an order, users can pick up the products the same day or the next day at the nearest pharmacy.

Very specific products sold off for ten days

Finally, for consumers with sensitive skin and forced to use very specific products, such as those undergoing cancer treatment, there too, there is a good plan, from March 29, to reduce the bill.

This good plan is called the sale of imperfect, and it is organized by the brand Even Cosmetics.

"For about ten days, she sells products that are a little damaged (box folded, dented) but the contents are intact. It's a bit like ugly vegetables. And on the site, there is -30% on all these dented products, so it's a good way to save money."

So you no longer have an excuse not to take care of your body.
