“The most important thing is that I believe that American aircraft and ships have nothing to do near the borders of the Russian Federation,” TASS quoted Antonov as saying after consultations at the State Department, where he was invited in connection with the incident with an American UAV over the Black Sea.

He noted that it is impossible to imagine the appearance of such a drone or aircraft near New York and San Francisco.

The diplomat added that this UAV can carry 1.7 thousand kg of explosives.

On March 14, the US European Command announced that a Russian Su-27 hit the propeller of an American MQ-9 drone over the Black Sea, after which the drone fell into international waters.

At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian fighters did not use airborne weapons and did not come into contact with a US drone over the Black Sea.

The ministry said that as a result of sharp maneuvering, the US drone went into uncontrolled flight with a loss of altitude and collided with the water surface.
