Late this Monday, the

commuter traffic between Alcalá de Henares and Guadalajara

was interrupted after a collision between a freight train and a commuter train, a crash that is not known to have caused any injuries.

The affected Cercanías lines were C2, C7 and C8.

After several hours of stoppage, circulation has been partially restored around 6:00 a.m.

Through Twitter, Cercanías Madrid has communicated that the service has been recovered on a single track, "circulating a shuttle train between these stations and making the usual stops".

"The rest of the trains end and start their journey in Alcalá de Henares, running with delays in both directions," he specified minutes later, around 7:00 a.m.

As reported last night by a spokesperson for Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid to Europa Press, the crash occurred at low speed, so it has not caused serious injuries among the approximately 130 passengers who were traveling at that time on the commuter train.

The impact occurred at kilometer 38/700, on track II, due to a rear-end collision with the freight train -which was carrying vehicles-, causing the derailment of the first bogie and also invalidating track I, which has caused the interruption of circulation, according to Adif sources.
