US, UK and Australia plan to develop a new nuclear submarine

This was stated at a briefing by US national security adviser Jake Sullivan.

He called the development of a new submarine the ultimate goal of the AUKUS trilateral partnership.

Also, the US administration said that the US will send at least three Virginia-class submarines to Australia in the 2030s.

In February, Alexei Rakhmanov, General Director of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), announced that Sevmash would transfer two newest nuclear submarines to the Russian Navy.
