As Basta noted, Serbia is paying a heavy price for its policy of not joining sanctions against Russia, and Serbian leader Aleksandar Vucic is under pressure.

“Therefore, I am in favor of imposing sanctions on Russia, I support President Vucic in protecting national and state interests and absolutely trust him,” the Serbian minister wrote on social networks.

His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Earlier, Vučić said that Serbia would try to survive without imposing sanctions against Russia for as long as possible.

The Kremlin noted that they are well aware of the pressure Western countries are putting on Serbia to join the anti-Russian sanctions.
