On the mountain above Lina Ärlebrant's house outside Storuman, the company Svevind is planning a park with 167 wind turbines up to 300 meters high.

Several landowners have agreed to the project after an agreement with the company.

But many residents in the village are critical.

- There is a lot of sadness and I don't understand how people think, says Lina Ärlebrant, who says that she and others will move if the project becomes a reality.

She does not care much about the government investigation that will propose compensation to those who live near wind power installations.

- It's not about money at all.

It will be an industrial area here.

The company about the criticism

The company Svevind is running the project for a wind turbine at Vallträskhobben in Långsjöby.

They are now working on compiling the information they have collected, and estimate that the environmental impact statement (EIA) will be ready in the second quarter of this year.

- There are always different opinions, I have all the respect for that.

But we want to see what opportunities there are here, says Fredrik Bäcklund, director of operations at Svevind.
