Shift Robotics unveiled a year ago what it claims is the "world's fastest shoe," which lets you "walk at running speed."

The engineering company, based in Pittsburgh, USA, launched a campaign to raise funding to make the revolutionary shoes, which it called "Moonwalkers".

Recently, Casey Neistat, a content creator and co-founder of the social media company Bimi, posted on his YouTube account his experience of the Moon Walkers shoes, which employ artificial intelligence.

The shoe's design is reminiscent of children's roller skates, and the Moon Walkers uses a combination of artificial intelligence and machine learning to help wearers move much more quickly than they could with a regular pair of shoes.

The motor distributes the power through 8 plastic wheels that react to the natural motion of each ankle to transition between walking and standing positions.

The forefoot design allows the foot to bend naturally at the toes, maintaining movement and balance, while the multi-layer electronic brake protection system allows you to use stairs, elevators and mass transit without fear of falling.

The Shift Robotics website demonstrates how to use the shoes. "Walk as you normally would, and the AI of the shoes will adapt to you. It's not skating, so no new skills are necessary to learn. The learning curve is usually less than 10 steps. To walk faster." "Just walk faster. To slow down, walk slower. To stop, well, stop walking."

Moon Walkers has a top speed of 11km/h, an average range of 10km on a single charge, weighs about two kilograms, and can be recharged using a USB-C cable and charger.

But if you want a pair of Moon Walkers, they certainly aren't cheap, and you'll have to pay $1,400.
