Alexander Schenk has previously lived in Sweden and has also traveled here many times together with other enthusiasts.
- We usually go up to every other year to barbecue at the Arctic Circle, it's our thing to do with our old Volvo cars, he says.
He says that it is very exotic for the gang from Luxembourg to drive on winter roads.
- In Luxembourg, traffic breaks up if there is a snowflake.
Vintage cars of all kinds
Although the gang from Luxembourg bet on one and the same car brand, it was not exclusive to the event.
On site were everything from passenger cars in all possible models to the too-familiar bus seen in SVT's series "Händelser vid vatten".
The rally was run for the first time in 1972 and all vintage vehicles up to and including model year -93 are welcome to participate.
The organizer is satisfied
It was Norrland's motor historians' Norrbottens section that arranged the tour and the event.
- There has been a great turnout this year.
It feels great, there are more people than we usually get, says Dick Sandberg, organizer.
