Shortly after midnight, the police received an alarm from several callers about an explosion at an eight-story apartment building in Rosengård, Malmö.

According to Thomas Söderlund, officer on duty at police region South, it is unclear exactly where it has exploded but most likely on the outside of a gate rise.

- The outside of the property is damaged, there is widespread damage to the facade and glass panes.

We still don't know exactly what happened.

An area has been cordoned off, and no one appears to have been injured.

The bomb shelter

The national bomb shelter is in place.

- It's so that it's a safe place to work, so that nothing else hits.

Technicians work to secure tracks and other evidence.

- We also conduct internal intelligence, that is, we go through registers and collections of information to see if there may be connections to other events or people, says Söderlund.

Notorious gang criminal

According to Sydsvenskan and TT, a notorious gang criminal is written at the address.

Can you confirm that?

- No, not at the moment.

But theoretically, several criminals can live at the address, although this does not necessarily mean that they are targets.

- We are specifically looking for gang criminals who are part of ongoing gang conflicts.

There is a battle going on right now about who will decide on the street.

Several explosions

This week there have been several explosions in Malmö, in Fosie on March 7 and in Rörsjöstaden on March 9.

- I cannot say whether there is any connection, says Söderberg.
