US Energy Secretary: Washington doesn't want trade rivalry with EU in clean energy

This was stated by US Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm in an interview with the Financial Times.

According to her, the parties are currently working on a new "free trade-style" agreement in the field of environmentally friendly technologies.

“We do not want to see any trade rivalry and are discussing with our EU colleagues how we can make the agreement beneficial for everyone,” Granholm said.

Earlier, the Minister for Foreign Trade of Sweden Johan Forsell said that the act to reduce inflation in the United States is contrary to the rules of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

French President Emmanuel Macron said the EU would respond to the US act to reduce inflation in February or March.
