Japan confirms first COVID-19 vaccine-related death

According to TASS with reference to the Kyodo agency, over the past few years, at least 2,000 deaths have been registered in Japan among patients vaccinated against COVID-19.

However, there was no direct connection with vaccination.

Now, for the first time, authorities have said they do not rule out a causal link between vaccination and death.

All that is known about the deceased patient is that she was a woman aged 42.

In January, for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, the death rate from coronavirus in Japan exceeded 10 thousand people.
