In Ukraine, the emotion is strong after the broadcast of a video on which appears a Ukrainian prisoner of war shot dead by his Russian jailers.

The authenticity of the video and the identity of the soldier have been confirmed by kyiv, which swears to punish this new violation of international law on its soil.

His name was Timofey Shadura.

He was 42 years old, he was born in the province of Donetsk where he defended the territorial integrity of his country, Ukraine, within the 30th mechanized brigade.

Missing since February 2, his face is now known to millions of Ukrainians who watched in horror as he was brutally executed and filmed by Russian soldiers when he was their prisoner of war.

”, before being shot several times;

which is a clear violation of international law according to which the physical integrity and fundamental rights of prisoners of war must be respected.

This crime adds to the already long list of atrocities committed in Ukraine by the occupier, whether summary executions of soldiers or civilians, rape, deportation or torture.

The prosecution has already opened more than 71,000 investigations against the Russian aggressor.
