64 percent of the young people between the ages of 7 and 25 who live in Sjogarp and Kärnekulla in Habo municipality are members of a sports association, this is the highest figure in the county, according to an audit conducted by SVT.

Östra Runneryd in Nässjö municipality is the area where the least number of young people are in a sports association - the figure there is 20 percent.

In Runneryd, 14 percent of the girls are in a sports association and 26 percent of the boys.

- I trained when I was in the sixth grade, but when I stopped during training to fix my shawl, the coach yelled at me, since then I haven't trained anymore, says Nawal Ahmed, 14 years old and resident of Runneryd in Nässjö.

- You don't have time for that because you finish school a little later in the day, plus girls may not dare and feel afraid to exercise, says Lugman Mohamed Abdi, 15 years old.

"We need to analyze why they don't want to join"

Pär Jansson, unit manager in culture and leisure administration in Nässjö municipality says he cannot comment on Runneryd in particular.

- Evidence can be obtained to analyze why young people do not want to be part of sports associations and turn the curve upwards, he says.

In the clip above, the young people tell more about why they no longer exercise.
