The bill will give Washington the tools to respond to national security threats posed by high-tech products, he said.
According to CNN, more than half of US states have previously banned officials from using TikTok.
Prior to this, US Federal Communications Commission Commissioner Brendan Carr said that US authorities should take action to ban TikTok in the country.
