It started as a lifestyle change for the whole family, which consists of mother Malin and four children between the ages of 11 and 20, where Malin Lindgren Sundström started buying junk food.
The food, which is close to the best before date or which has cosmetic defects, is bought in and then stored in the freezer.
- People have learned not to waste money, so it has become a way of life, says daughter daughter Thess Sundström, 16 years old.
Large food storage
It was Sundsvall's newspaper that first told about the family's work to lower the cost of food.
They have been at it for a few years and have managed to build up a large supply of different products, but continue to shop weekly - where the budget is around SEK 1,000.
- Now I notice that the prices are going up, so it is difficult for me to keep the thousand a week, says Malin Lindgren Sundström.
