The National Police is investigating alleged members of the DDP gang from the Latina district who, in recent weeks, have broadcast live assaults and robberies on minors outside the Salesianos Paseo school for refusing to join the gang.

The gang members try to recruit teenagers from these schools who are between 13 and 15 years old.

If they refuse, they beat them, threatening them: "

We have your faces, or you join the band, or we're going to get you

", according to the videos broadcast on the Instagram account of several of the authors.

One of the boys who was attacked needs protection at school and when leaving the school.

The Police are guarding the door of the center and the surroundings to avoid new altercations.

There are also plainclothes officers in the area to try to track down the attackers.

Police sources have explained that at least

one of the alleged attackers has been expelled from the school after being identified

as a member of one of these groups.

The Police have some of the recordings issued by several of the members of these bands.

They were saved by the agents before they were deleted from the Instagram accounts.

From the Superior Police Headquarters of Madrid they admit that there have been two attacks on minors from the Salesianos school on Paseo de Extremadura in the Latina district.

However, a police spokesman pointed out yesterday that the way in which they have tried to capture these minors is

not usually the usual way that this type of gang members carry out.

Although the Police officially admit two complaints for assaults and robberies on social networks, more attacks on minors from other schools have been reported by members of the DDP who are regulars at the Caramuel park where they supposedly deal in

drugs

.

It was the mother of one of these boys, a victim of this gang, who raised the alarm last week by posting on social networks what had happened to her son.

The mother's message was intended to alert the parents of the neighborhood to protect their children: "I would like to inform you of something very serious that is happening in our neighborhood streets and in broad daylight, it is the beatings and robberies of

children leaving school to go home.

They go in groups and attack the most vulnerable.

There are people who see it and do not call the police.

Yesterday it was my son and tomorrow it can be yours.

I beg diffusion, help and a lot of noise for this to stop.

Police investigations have discovered that as early as mid-February gang members were already stalking kids to recruit them into their gangs.

In their hunts they went to famous fast food restaurants to attract boys.

"My son and his friends were surrounded and offered to join the Latin gang of the DDP (Dominican Don't Play)," says his mother.

"Everyone rejected the proposal and before that refusal, one of the gang members began to record with his cell phone telling them: 'You don't want to join the band, because we have images of you.'"

Wednesday of last week was when the two attacks on the minors who study at the Salesian school took place.

Three of them were followed and beaten.

One of them took his mobile phone.

Later, the same group of six gang members attacked another of the students.

“They hit him from behind and when he fell to the ground they began to kick him.

At that moment,

my son was able to see how one of the attackers was recording the attack with his cell phone

," the mother told this newspaper.

The victim was able to escape on the run and when she saw a man enter a portal, she immediately asked him for help.

The neighbor let him pass and protected him while they notified the Police and his parents.

The 14-year-old boy who was attacked was later transferred to the health center on Caramuel street to be treated for his injuries.

He had a bruise on one eye and bruises on one knee.

One of the assaulted minors provided the Police with the social networks in which the suspects posted the videos of the attacks.

Some accounts that still

have images in which they pose making gestures linked to the DDP gang.

This newspaper has unsuccessfully tried to contact the Salesianos Paseo school to find out their version of what happened.

From the Ministry of Education it was indicated on Monday night that "a file has been opened by the school and that the Educational Inspection of the Community of Madrid is going to request information about the events that occurred."
