The article says that von der Leyen would not mind being re-elected to the post of head of the EC, but is considering becoming NATO Secretary General as a fallback option.
It is noted that this possibility is becoming more and more real in connection with the position of Washington.
Earlier, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he considers himself a candidate for the post of NATO Secretary General.
