- The impending transformation of the Luna quarter is next to the planned Marenhotellet, probably the biggest thing that has happened to the city center in 45 years, said Mats Siljebrand (KD), when he demanded approval for the proposal, which the city council unanimously supported.
The background to the demolition being stopped is that the frames in Lunahusen were examined and found to be "undamaged".
Something that was done after the decision to demolish was made in the summer of 2020. The new direction means that you keep the frames, renovate and only demolish what is needed.

“As part of the new planning for the project, the demolitions are postponed by one year.
Tenants in the Lunagalleria will be able to stay until January 2025," the company writes.
