"He restored the practice of daily State Department press briefings, giving journalists the opportunity to regularly ask the most pressing questions," Blinken said in a statement.
According to him, Price held more than 200 briefings and always treated journalists with respect.
Earlier, NBC reported that Ned Price would leave his post in March.
