According to Météo France forecasts, the weather on Tuesday will be marked by the return of rain and a drop in temperatures.

From the start of the day, on the Channel coast to Nord-Pas-de-Calais, light to moderate rain will set in.

Throughout the afternoon, these rains will extend to the entire Hauts-de-France region and the Ardennes, to Normandy and Brittany.

The weather on Tuesday will be marked by the return of rain and a drop in temperatures, according to Météo France forecasts.

From the start of the day, on the Channel coast to Nord-Pas-de-Calais, light to moderate rain will set in.

Throughout the afternoon, these rains will extend to the entire Hauts-de-France region and the Ardennes, to Normandy and Brittany.

From Avesnois to the Ardennes, snowflakes will mingle with the rain.

On the rest of the northern half, the sky will also be very cloudy to overcast but the showers scattered and weak.

Clouds south of the Charentes

On the south-western quarter of the country, the clouds will impose themselves quickly and from the south of Charentes to Aquitaine regular and temporarily moderate rains will arrive in the early morning.

Before midday, Limousin, southern Auvergne and Midi-Pyrénées will be won over by this rainy, snowy weather above 600 to 900 m on the Massif Central, 1,500 m on the Pyrenees.

In the afternoon, in New Aquitaine and Midi-Pyrénées, the rains will ease and become more scattered.

Conversely, from Rhône-Alpes to Languedoc-Roussillon and PACA, the morning will be calm under an increasingly cloudy sky.

In the afternoon, the weather will cloud over and the rain will arrive, sparing only the extreme south-east of PACA.

On the Alps the snow will fall above 900 to 1,000 m.

Rain back in Corsica

Finally on Corsica, after a calm morning, the rain will be back in the afternoon on the west of the island.

The southwest wind will remain quite strong, the tramontana will strengthen up to 60 km/h in the afternoon.

Minimum temperatures will be around 0 to 5 degrees in the northwest of the country, as well as on the Aquitaine and Mediterranean coast, but elsewhere frosts will again be frequent, with -4 to 0 degrees in general.

During the day, the maximum will range from 5 to 9 degrees over a large northeast quarter, from 8 to 13 degrees elsewhere, locally 14 to 17 degrees from the south of Aquitaine to the Mediterranean rim.
