This is reported by TASS with reference to a representative of the press service of the Voronezh customs.

It is noted that the suspect was detained on March 3 by employees of the anti-corruption department of the Voronezh customs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Filipenko was fired from the customs authorities and a case was brought against him under Part 2 of Art.

228 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation of drugs on a large scale”). 

In January, employees of the Russian Investigative Committee conducted a large-scale search in the building of the Federal Customs Service.

On suspicion of bribery, the head of the central information and technical department, Dmitry Vasiliev, was detained.
