The president of CaixaBank, José Ignacio Goirigolzarri, has expressed his satisfaction with the continuation of the agreement and has expressed his satisfaction for maintaining the link with a sport with which the entity shares fundamental values.

Garbajosa has highlighted the commitment that the entity has maintained not only with training but also with the promotion of basketball.

We know that they believe in our athletes and that they have firmly bet that the values ​​of basketball are associated with the image of their entity", pointed out the president of the FEB and trusts that the agreement can be extended "many more years".

This agreement reinforces CaixaBank's commitment to national basketball.

The entity has collaborated with the main events that have been held in the last decade in Spain, both professional and amateur, transferring the values ​​of sport to all corners of the country.

It was an official sponsor of the 2014 World Cup held in Spain, a collaborator with the Women's Basketball World Cup in Tenerife in 2018, the women's Eurobasket in Valencia in 2021 or the historic Plaza 3x3 CaixaBank circuit.

This commitment has also been accompanied by great sporting successes such as the FEB's number one position in the FIBA ​​ranking for the first time in its history in 2022, the men's World Gold in 2019 and the four European golds in the men's and women's Eurobasket (2015 - 2017 - 2019 - 2022).

In addition, two medals in the men's and women's categories at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games or three bronzes at the Eurobasket in 2013, 2015 and 2017, among other achievements.

This new agreement will allow the imminent launch of the tenth edition of the Plaza 3x3 CaixaBank circuit, in which the financial institution has been involved since its creation.

There are already 113 sports days with the participation of more than 50,000 players and 300,000 spectators.

The FEB-CaixaBank Volunteers program, active since 2014, will also continue. The objective of this project is focused on supporting basketball throughout the territory and promoting employability and inclusion, since it brings together people of all ages and conditions.

Currently, the program has more than 22,000 active volunteers who provide service to all sporting events organized in Spain.
