China News Agency, Beijing, March 5th (Reporter Wang Jiexian) The first session of the 14th National People's Congress opened in Beijing on the 5th. Tang Yingnian, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the board of directors of the Hong Kong West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, said when answering questions from reporters from China News Agency, This year's government work report once again demonstrates that the central government will unswervingly support Hong Kong's development and give Hong Kong compatriots the confidence to develop the economy and improve people's livelihood.

In an interview with China News Agency and other media in Beijing on the same day, Tang Yingnian pointed out that this year's government work report shows that the central government is seeking progress in stability, taking responsibility, and making achievements, and it conveys a very clear signal that China's future development will be based on the word "stability" , which is confident.

In this year's government work report, it is proposed to "prosper and develop cultural undertakings and industries", and the "14th Five-Year Plan" outline mentions "supporting Hong Kong to develop a center for cultural and artistic exchanges between China and foreign countries".

Tang Ying-year said that Hong Kong will try its best to fulfill its responsibility of promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.

Tang Yingnian also noticed that the government work report proposed greater efforts to attract and utilize foreign capital; expand market access, increase opening up in the field of modern service industries; and implement national treatment for foreign-funded enterprises.

He introduced to the media that he has submitted proposals to the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference for two consecutive years, suggesting better use of the Qualified Foreign Limited Partner (QFLP) mechanism to attract foreign capital.

He said that many foreign investors yearn to participate in China's economic development, and QFLP can help them invest in Chinese start-ups, which is beneficial to the future development of China's science and technology.

Tang Ying-year will submit proposals this year on Hong Kong's better integration into the overall development of the country and the promotion of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

He believes that Hong Kong has strong research and development and financing capabilities, but it is weak in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. The mainland, especially other cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, are very strong in this regard. They should work together to break through some key technologies and provide more opportunities for national development. Robust support.
