According to the department, the police officers and colleagues from other departments noticed an active social media user on the network who wrote extremist comments and distributed a video of the execution of Russian soldiers, threatening to commit illegal acts.
Law enforcement officers found and detained the man, after which they found out that he had sent information about the whereabouts of Russian military personnel to his friend, who promised a reward for this.
“In the police department, the gunner asked for forgiveness for his behavior and statements ... As the police found out, the informant did not receive the promised money for the coordinates provided, and no artillery strikes were inflicted on them,” the region’s Ministry of Internal Affairs added.
The department has appointed a check on the fact of these facts, the issue of initiating a criminal case is being decided.
Earlier, in the vicinity of Mariupol, the fighters of the Russian Guard checked the data on a possible informant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
