By means of air defense: Russian troops shot down 18 Ukrainian drones and a HIMARS missile in a day

In the areas of the settlements of Vodyanoe, Privolnoe and Ugledar of the Donetsk People's Republic in the South-Donetsk and Zaporizhia directions, strikes by assault and army aviation, artillery fire of the Vostok group of troops defeated the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was announced during a briefing by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov.

According to him, the enemy’s losses amounted to over 70 Ukrainian servicemen, two tanks, two armored combat vehicles, two pickup trucks, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount and a D-20 howitzer.

In the Krasnolimansky direction, air strikes and artillery fire hit units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Torskoye, Yampolovka (DPR) and Chervonopopovka (LPR).

More than 200 Ukrainian servicemen, three infantry fighting vehicles, eight armored fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks and a D-20 howitzer were destroyed.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy lost up to 100 soldiers killed and wounded in a day, one tank, three infantry fighting vehicles, two pickup trucks, an Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer and a Grad MLRS combat vehicle.

In the Donetsk direction, a mobile communication center of the 110th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, five armored combat vehicles, three vehicles, a Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery mount, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount, two Grad MLRS combat vehicles, two D-30 howitzers were destroyed and one D-20 howitzer.

Also, the Russian military eliminated up to 210 Ukrainian servicemen.

In the Kherson direction, up to 60 Ukrainian servicemen, six vehicles, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount, Giacint-B and Msta-B howitzers, as well as three D-30 howitzers were destroyed.

In addition, operational-tactical and army aviation, missile forces and artillery defeated 92 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at firing positions, manpower and equipment in 212 districts.

“Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Su-24 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force near the city of Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” Konashenkov concluded.

Kherson region

A citizen of Ukraine was detained in the Kherson region, who sent information about the location of Russian troops to the Ukrainian security forces, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region reports.

It is noted that during the monitoring, law enforcement officials drew attention to an active user of social networks, who regularly published extremist comments and sent videos of the execution of captured Russian soldiers, and also threatened to commit illegal actions.

His whereabouts were later established.

“They turned out to be a 22-year-old citizen of Ukraine.

After studying his activities, the officers found out that he had forwarded information about the whereabouts of the Russian military to his acquaintance, who had previously contacted him and promised money for such data.

For each coordinate, the “curator” promised 300 hryvnias (about $8), but, having received data on five “points”, he did not send a reward,” the message says.

Nikolaev

The underground in the city of Nikolaev destroyed the Ukrainian base of saboteurs, one of the activists said.

“We worked a little and found out that on our Maysky island, the Nazis decided to form a detachment of submarine saboteurs.

British instructors were sent there, and they were supposed to teach them how to use underwater drones.

We transferred the coordinates of this training base to the right place, and on February 25, the Russians hit the target clearly, ”RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.

He stressed that the ammunition depot was completely destroyed as a result of a very powerful explosion.

According to him, during Ukraine's attack on Transnistria, underwater drones were supposed to attack Russian ships in the Black Sea near Odessa and at a base in Sevastopol.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that they had recorded a significant number of personnel and military equipment of Ukrainian units near the Ukrainian-Pridnestrovian border.
