A woman was attacked with a sharp object in central Örebro

The woman is said to have been attacked outdoors on Slottsgatan between Järvägsgatan and Fredsgatan.

Taken to hospital

The woman has been taken to hospital for treatment, but according to the police she is not seriously injured.

She is said to have provided a description that the police are not releasing at this time.

The place where the attack took place is close to one of Örebro's larger schools, Karolinska gymnasium, with 1,250 students.

Near the incident is Karolinska high school.
