At least two people were killed this morning in a Russian missile attack on an apartment building in the city of

Zaporizhia

, in southeastern

Ukraine

, the secretary of the Zaporizhia City Council,

Anatoly Kurtev,

and the State Emergency Service reported today.

The Russians "almost completely destroyed a five-story building. People are under the rubble. According to preliminary information, two people died," Kurtev wrote on his Telegram account, indicating that there are people under the rubble.

indicated that the lifeless bodies of two people were removed from under the rubble.

As a result of the attack, "floors 5 to 1 of the same entrance of a residential building were destroyed," he explained.

A total of 90 people, including three psychologists, and 24 units are involved in search and rescue operations, the State Emergency Service added.
